Authors retain the copyright to their published work. By submitting a manuscript to JIME and upon its acceptance for publication, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and make the work publicly available in both electronic and print formats.

Authors may use, reproduce, and share their published work for educational, research, and non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate acknowledgment is given to the original publication in JIME.

Unless otherwise specified, all articles published in JIME are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.

Under this license, users are free to:

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

Reuse of Published Articles

Authors should include a complete citation and a link to the published article on the journal's website whenever possible.

Copyright Infringement

If the journal receives a valid claim of copyright infringement, the Editorial Office will investigate the matter promptly. Where appropriate, corrective actions may include:

  • Requesting clarification from the author(s).
  • Removing or replacing infringing material.
  • Publishing a correction.
  • Retracting the article in cases of serious infringement.

Permissions

Requests to reproduce or reuse material published in JIME beyond the terms of the applicable license should be directed to the Editorial Office. Permission requests will be considered in accordance with applicable copyright laws and journal policies.
