Editorial Policies

The Journal of Advanced Scientific Discovery (JASD) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing. The journal follows transparent, ethical, and rigorous editorial practices to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and impactful research.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of the academic merit of the submitted manuscripts. Editors evaluate submissions without regard to the authors' nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, ethnicity, religious beliefs, or political views.

The Publisher has no influence over editorial decisions.

Peer Review Policy

JASD follows a Double-Blind Peer Review process.

  • Authors' identities are concealed from reviewers.
  • Reviewers' identities are concealed from authors.
  • Every manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening before being sent for peer review.
  • Each eligible manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
  • In cases of conflicting recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief may assign an additional reviewer or make the final editorial decision.

Editorial decisions may include:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to make the final publication decision.

Initial Editorial Screening

Before peer review, each submission is evaluated to determine whether it:

  • Falls within the scope of the journal
  • Meets minimum quality standards
  • Follows the journal's formatting guidelines
  • Demonstrates originality and academic significance
  • Contains complete metadata and required declarations

Manuscripts failing to satisfy these requirements may be rejected without external review.

Confidentiality

Editors and reviewers treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents.

No information regarding a submitted manuscript shall be disclosed to anyone other than:

  • Corresponding author
  • Assigned reviewers
  • Editorial Board members (when necessary)
  • Publisher (only for administrative purposes)

Reviewers may not use unpublished material from submitted manuscripts for personal research.

Editorial Decision Criteria

Editorial decisions are based on:

  • Originality
  • Scientific quality
  • Technical correctness
  • Novel contribution
  • Methodological soundness
  • Relevance to the journal
  • Ethical compliance
  • Clarity of presentation

Acceptance is never influenced by commercial interests.

Ethical Standards

JASD adheres to internationally accepted publication ethics and follows the principles recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to maintain honesty, transparency, fairness, and integrity throughout the publication process.

Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.

The journal does not accept:

  • Plagiarism
  • Self-plagiarism
  • Duplicate publication
  • Redundant publication
  • Fabricated or falsified data

Submissions with significant plagiarism may be rejected immediately.

If plagiarism is discovered after publication, appropriate actions—including correction or retraction—may be taken.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Authors may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve grammar, language, or readability.

However:

  • AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
  • Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and originality of their work.
  • The use of AI must not result in fabricated data, false citations, manipulated images, or misleading content.
  • Significant AI assistance should be disclosed in the manuscript where appropriate.

Editors may reject manuscripts containing unreliable AI-generated content.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence their research.

Editors and reviewers must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist.

Authorship Policy

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to:

  • Research conception or design
  • Data collection
  • Analysis and interpretation
  • Drafting or revising the manuscript
  • Final approval of the submitted version

All authors share responsibility for the published work.

Guest, honorary, or ghost authorship is not permitted.

Research Integrity

Authors are expected to:

  • Present accurate research findings
  • Maintain original research records
  • Avoid data manipulation
  • Report methods transparently
  • Provide supporting data when requested by editors

Research involving humans or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional approvals.

Corrections and Retractions
