Google Scholar

Cortex (Innovation and Discovery) aims to make its published research easily discoverable by researchers, academics, and students through widely used scholarly discovery services, including Google Scholar.

Google Scholar Discoverability

Google Scholar is a scholarly search service that helps users discover academic literature from publishers, journals, repositories, universities, and other scholarly sources. Cortex follows practices intended to support the discoverability of its published articles and book chapters.

To facilitate scholarly discovery, Cortex provides structured publication information, including:

  • Article or chapter title

  • Author names and affiliations

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • Publication date

  • Journal or book information

  • DOI, where assigned

  • Bibliographic and citation information

  • References, where applicable

Author Information

Authors are encouraged to maintain consistent author information across their scholarly profiles and publications. Authors may also add their published work to their Google Scholar profile, where appropriate, to help maintain an accurate record of their research output and citations.

Authors should ensure that publication details, author names, affiliations, and other bibliographic information are accurate when adding or claiming publications in their profiles.

Discoverability and Indexing

Inclusion or visibility of a publication in Google Scholar is determined by Google Scholar's systems and policies and is not guaranteed solely by publication with Cortex.

Cortex will continue to follow appropriate publishing and metadata practices to support the discoverability of its scholarly content through Google Scholar and other relevant scholarly services.
