Indexing and Abstracting

Cortex (Innovation and Discovery) is committed to increasing the discoverability, accessibility, and visibility of the scholarly work published through its journals and books.

Discoverability and Metadata

Cortex follows structured scholarly publishing practices to ensure that publication information and article-level metadata can be made available to relevant scholarly discovery and indexing services like Scopus, Web of Science, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), PubMed, etc.

Depending on the publication and applicable eligibility requirements, publication metadata may include:

  • Article or chapter title

  • Author names and affiliations

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • Publication date

  • Journal or book information

  • Volume, issue, and page information, where applicable

  • Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where assigned

  • References and citation information

Indexing and Abstracting Services

Cortex seeks inclusion of eligible publications in appropriate scholarly databases, abstracting services, discovery platforms, and academic repositories.

Applications or submissions to indexing and abstracting services are undertaken according to the eligibility criteria and policies of the respective services. Inclusion is subject to independent evaluation and acceptance by each service and cannot be guaranteed by the publisher.

The indexing status of each Cortex journal may differ. Authors and readers are therefore encouraged to consult the individual journal's website for its current indexing and abstracting information.

Future Indexing

Cortex will progressively seek inclusion of its eligible journals and books in additional recognized abstracting and indexing services as they meet the relevant requirements.

The indexing and abstracting status displayed on this website will be updated as formal applications are accepted and confirmed.
